Our Journey
Founded by Susan Palso in 1995, Dance-a-Cross (DAC) has grown from a home-based basement studio with 13 students to a thriving dance community of over 500 dancers. After a historic journey through various locations in Des Moines and West Des Moines, we are excited to welcome you to our newest facility on Thornton Ave, Des Moines.

A Christian-Based Approach
Music: We blend popular hits and Broadway classics with contemporary Christian and modern worship music.
Costumes: We prioritize modest, attractive, and age-appropriate designs.
Choreography: Approved by Susan Palso to ensure movements are pleasing to God.
Recitals: Our annual June productions are family-friendly, alternating between Disney classics and Biblical stories.
